    This Is My Brave: "The Show" CharMeck 2024  brings our community together for 3 shows across 2 amazing days filled with stories of resilience and hope. This Is My Brave is a national non-profit helping communities create shows that bring awareness to mental health, substance use, and the hope of recovery.  Individuals with lived experience share their stories of hope on stage through artistic expression such as monologue, spoken word poetry, original music, dance, and other creative methods. ReCAST II, Resiliency in Communities After Stress and Trauma, and The Office of Violence Prevention, are both programs within Mecklenburg County Public Health bringing this show to our community.  We are working to improve community resilience by shining a light on resilience, increasing access to mental health treatment, and reducing community violence.  
    Purchase one show or multiple shows! Each show is $15 plus tax and fees: (All sales are final.)

    Our ½ day, 100% whole food, plant-based (WFPB) lifestyle education and equity summit tackles wellness disparities in Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) communities through a unique and immersive "reach, teach, and taste" experience. Hosted by actor, director, writer and star of Tyler Perry's hit series "The Oval," Javon Johnson will host an impressive lineup of clinical and financial expert presenters whose focus is on the prevention, arrest and reversal of systemic, diet and lifestyle conditions disproportionately impacting our communities.
