Lumi School of Musical Theatre Presents Disney's Descendants the Musical. A 1 hour and 15 minutes theatre production including our favorite evils! This is a youth productions cast age range from 8 to 14.

BNS Productions celebrates Black History Month with the 15th Anniversary of the return of Joe Turner's Come and Gone by August Wilson, directed by Corlis Hayes, PhD, a faculty member here at Central Piedmont. In 2015 Dr. Hayes directed the play produced by Central Piedmont Drama Department under Tom Hollis at Pease Auditorium. Dr. Hayes is bringing back two of the original actors who were in that production.
Set in a Pittsburgh boarding House in 1911, this is one of Wilson's Pittsburgh Cycle Plays that tells the wide-ranging history of the African American decade across the 20th Century. The play takes place in Seth and Bertha Holly's boarding house, where they play host to people who come to stay during the Great Migration of the 1910's - a time when descendants of former slaves moved in large number from the South toward the industrial cities of the North seeking new jobs, new lives and new beginnings.


 

When indifferent student Garbiela Nettles is inexplicably admitted to the prestigious Doves Forge Academy, all she wants to do is leave.  But before she can get herself expelled, Garbiela starts to hear sounds that no one else hears: Ghostly echoes from the remnants of a long-ago tragedy in the school’s theater.  As she investigates the sounds (by joining the disastrous play in progress), Garbiela uncovers a story that’s both surprising and surprisingly moving.

"The Gift (The Musical)", written by award-winning playwright, Vickie L. Evans, is a modern-day depiction of "The Good Samaritan" story, with a twist. What happens when a bishop, who is an invited guest of a local congregation, is mugged in route to an annual holiday celebration? The folks who invited him (unaware of his identity) reject his plea for help. But the homeless neighbors tend to his wounds and offer him food and shelter. Needless to say, "some gifts come in unexpected packages".  Appropriate for all ages. Children are welcome.

Follow CYB down the rabbit hole as they perform their storybook ballet interpretation of Lewis Carroll's classic children's story, Alice in Wonderland.
