Adult ESL Orientations
ESL student orientations are currently held on the Cato Campus through the ESL Office for Civic and Educational Resources and Harper Campus. During the 12-hour orientations students will:
1) Receive an introduction to CPCC and the Adult ESL Program;
2) Be given the CASAS test to determine placement level;
3) Interpret language level and corresponding program options;
4) Learn about the focus and expectations of the Adult ESL Program;
5) Explore course options beyond the Adult ESL Program;
6) Learn about the US Education System and identify the relationship to their native education systems;
7) Make short-term and long-term education and career goals;
8) Prepare to become a CPCC student by getting a student ID, SNAP / CPCC Login account, parking sticker and referral to a class or self-access language lab.
