CPCC TV Debuts New Recognition Show
College Cable Station Introduces New Local Programming
Central Piedmont Community College’s cable station, CPCC TV, will debut a new show on May 26 featuring the outstanding accomplishments of faculty, staff, students and alumni of the College. The show, “Spotlight on Success,” tells the stories of those at CPCC who have gone above and beyond to make a difference. The new 30 minute show airs on Fridays and Sundays at 6:00 a.m., 7:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
The first episode will feature a student who has overcome physical challenges and achieved success through CPCC’s Pathways program, a staff member who literally calls CPCC “family,” one of the “Lost Boys of Sudan” who isn’t lost anymore, and a faculty member who’s gone above and beyond for the men and women overseas who are protecting our country and our lives.
”The new recognition show is part of an effort at CPCC TV to increasing our local programming and tell our story,” states David Rhew, station manager for CPCC TV. “Our College produces success stories every day, and we want to use our cable station to share those successes with the community.”
CPCC TV can be found on TimeWarner Cable channel 17.
CPCC is the largest community college in North Carolina, offering 100 degree and certification programs, customized corporate training, market-focused continuing education, and special interest classes. CPCC is academically, financially and geographically accessible to all citizens of Mecklenburg County. In 2002, the National Alliance of Business named CPCC the Community College of the Year for its response to the workforce and technology needs of local employers and job seekers through innovative educational and training strategies.
